1960: The Making of the President

1960: The Making of the President is a strategic political board game for 2 players, ages 12 and up. Designed by Christian Leonhard and Jason Matthews and published by Z-Man Games, it immerses players in the drama of the 1960 U.S. presidential election.

One player represents John F. Kennedy, the other Richard Nixon, as they campaign across the country in a battle for electoral votes. The game is packed with difficult choices, capturing the emotional highs and lows of a tense political race, as well as the tactical depth required to outmaneuver an opponent in the Electoral College.

Co-designer Jason Matthews also helped create Twilight Struggle, another standout game set during the Cold War. 1960: The Making of the President won the 2008 International Gamers Award and was our top pick for best board game of 2007.
